Types of Pool

Before planning on going ahead, you have to know that there are different types of Swimming pools. Swimming Pools are classified based on surface draw-off.

overflow pool

An Overflow pool is also known as deck level pool. The entire periphery of the pool will have a Channel. The water level will be at the tip of the pool edge and overflows to the channel. The water from the channel is collected through gravity in a Balancing Tank which is installed below the channel level. The collected water from Balancing Tank will be sucked by the Pump & pass through the Pressure Sand Filter for filtration. The filtered water will be returned to the pool through the pool Inlet.

Wet Coping: The open channel will be fixed permanently with Pool Deck tile by providing minimum 3cm opening to pass water to the channel.
Gratings/Pebbles: The open Channel will have gratings or pebbles to pass the water directly to the channel without any hindrance.

Skimmer pools

Pool skimmers are designed to draw water from the surface and suck it through the pool’s filtration system. All floating materials will be sucked by Skimmer; the large floating materials will be collected in the Skimmer Basket & the water goes through the pump strainer to the pressure Sand filter to do the filtration.
Skimmers are of rectangular boxes fixed on the main structure. The water level will be at half of the Skimmer mouth which is 15cm from the top level of pool.

Infinity Pools are breathtaking additions to any backyard, especially for beachside villas. In beachside pools, the infinity-edge looks like merged with the sea. The water overflows through the Vanishing edge & falls down to a channel that is constructed on a lower level. The water from the channel will flow by gravity to a Balancing Tank. To qualify as an infinity pool, the top of the water needs to be at the same level as the edges surrounding the pool, creating the illusion of the edge merging with the blue of the ocean or sky.
